{"id":1875,"date":"2021-12-01T11:12:25","date_gmt":"2021-12-01T11:12:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sleepingfortomorrow.com\/sft\/?p=1875"},"modified":"2022-06-02T07:45:26","modified_gmt":"2022-06-02T07:45:26","slug":"an-inside-struggle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sleepingfortomorrow.com\/sft\/2021\/12\/01\/an-inside-struggle\/","title":{"rendered":"An inside struggle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For me, in our &#8220;new normality&#8221; with corona, every day is a new challenge.<br \/>\nOne day it is safe; the next day, the opposite, and the effects I am facing are<br \/>\nconstantly changing.<\/p>\n<p>In the beginning, it shook me a lot: stress, heavy thoughts, confusion.<br \/>\nLast month I was in Berlin; I hadn&#8217;t been there for two years.<\/p>\n<p>It felt great from one side: being in an open place, seeing friends, restaurants,<br \/>\nhaving a joyful moment, everything is normal! But at the same time, the minute I<br \/>\nentered a bus, standing with people that are almost stapled on top of each other,<br \/>\ntrying to go and see places in time-slots, etc., was affecting my experience and<br \/>\nthat reminded me of the whole mess we\u2019re in.<\/p>\n<p>The thing I learned, and it came very strong in the last two years, is that I can&#8217;t control my feelings &#8211; the emotions I feel &#8211; but I can give my thoughts and my actions a direction.<\/p>\n<p>I am thinking a lot about being in the present moment and seeing how many<br \/>\nemotions are in this, what it means to be present, not being controlled by<br \/>\noutside voices\u2026<\/p>\n<p>For this, I am fixing on the one thing at the moment, on the good experience<br \/>\nI have or can have, focus on the purpose (and not the obstacles in the way)<br \/>\nand I am trying to cherish this moment.
